Hi Experts,
I have this crazy bug(?!) that my web page constantly reloads over and over. When you type in the URL https://iplaysite.com/ in the browser, it gets redirected to iPLAYSITE – design • code • music and reloads constantly. Also, if you try to navigate to another page like Notebook – iPLAYSITE , it gets redirected and reloads again. Sigh.
I know. I cannot even use the inspector to troubleshoot. I used WPCodebox to update some CSS to style the image caption in the single post template. Then I just updated the text content in the post edit and update. And when I refreshed on the front-end, redirect and reload started happening.
Also, what is weird is when I try to access the edit Bricks template in the admin section, the reload problem also happens in the Bricks interface just like the front-end.
Yes, I noticed that too. I wonder if my footer SVG logo file is causing some security issues. I wanted to try to change the logo file, but I cannot access the Bricks Footer template area because of the redirect and reload prob.
I deactivated the Bricks theme, and the redirect stopped and works with the default theme. And I tried to re-activate the Bricks theme but the problem persists. I also restored to 2 days ago when it was working fine but still redirects and loops.
Most likely something that has been added inside the bricks template then. You may need to send in a support ticket for this one, I doubt it can be solved within logging in and troubleshooting.
Thanks for your reply! Deleting the header and the Footer template seems to stop the looping. I will just have to rebuild them.
Strangely, that logo path was located in the footer. But I did not touch the header or the footer template at all. Would you have any idea how the refresh line of code got added?
I saw it in your header section.
Sorry, I got no idea how it’s injected there too…
Anyway, just keep going as long as the problem solved. Hopefully it wouln’t come back unexpectedly
I did further investigation, and I installed a plugin called SVG SUPPORT and turned on the preferred settings of my choice in the settings section of SVG SUPPORT, and now SVG files render fine. Damn, no fun being a WP newbie.
