SOLVED: Warning : Undefined array key "administrator"... after update 1.10.3

Browser: Chrome, Safari
OS: macOS
URL: https://portafon-shop.hr

After the 1.10.3 update, the page fell apart a bit and there is a warning at the top:

Warning : Undefined array key “administrator” in /home/tinoti/portafon-shop.hr/wp-content/themes/bricks/includes/elements/form.php on line 1405

Hi,

thank you for the report. We are aware of it and it’s already in our internal bug tracker.

It happens when you have a “New User Default Role” defined as an administrator.

Nothing on the page will break, the registration form should still work, it’s just that this error shows if you have that enabled in wp-config.php.

I’ve added your report to the internal task that we have, so it will be updated when we have a fix.

Best regards,
M

Thanks.
It’s not like nothing has broken, because also some images are displayed incorrectly (screenshot below).

Also just info that something similar happened before (I think last year) and it was fixed with the new update.

Do you know if it is possible to easily remove it so that it is not the administrator by default for a new user so that it works until you fix it?

Thanks!

Hi @tinoti,

this seems like a different issue though. Do you have a link where I can see it live?

And about your question, to change from Administrator role to Customer for example, just go to WP Dashbaord → Settings → General → and change New User Default Role to something else.

Best regards,
M

Thanks, it is ok now. Also and images are fine, so was the same issue.

Ok, perfect, I’m happy that it’s solved.
We will also update this so that it will not throw this error in the future.

Best regards,
M

Hi guys,

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.11 BETA, now available as a manual download (Bricks – Account)

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

You can see the full changelog here: Bricks 1.11 Changelog – Bricks

As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.

Best regards,
Matej
