SOLVED: Upload audio files via form fails

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.
URL: Link to a page that illustrates this issue
Video: Jam

A very simple form with a file upload field. is set to allow mp3, wav, aiff, and m4a, but only mp3 actually uploads, all others give the error “uploaded file type is not allowed.”

As you can see in the video, all file types and sizes are able to be uploaded to the media library, so the filetypes are allowed via WP.

Please advise.

Hi Jim,
Thanks so much for your report, and welcome to the forum!

I reproduced the issue and added it to the bug tracker.

Best regards,
timmse

Thank you. Is there any way to know a fix time? This breaks Bricks forms completely for me, so will have to make a decision to move to an external form plugin, which I don’t want to do.

No, sorry. I’ll update this thread as soon as it is fixed.
In the meantime, there’s, unfortunately, no way around a third-party form plugin that works in your case.

Hi. I’m checking again if there is any update on this. I know there is a lot of activity going on currently, but is there any way to see where this sits in the bug tracker so I can determine how long I might have to expect to wait for a fix?

Hi, the bug tracker isn’t publicly available, but the task is “in progress”.
I’ll update this thread as soon as it is fixed.

Hi guys,

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.10 beta, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.

Best regards,
M
