SOLVED: Template Rich Text Element: Viewing code tab causes unsaved glyph to show on save button

Browser: Chrome
OS: Windows

  1. Create a Template
  2. Add Section + Container
  3. Add Rich Text element into Container
  4. Click Save button.
  5. Click Code tab in Rich Text element Settings

Notice the Save button on the top toolbar. The little yellow circle glyph shows up as if you made changes to the file.

Expected: No changes were made, the yellow circle glyph should not show.

Hi @macksix,

I am not able to replicate this issue. :frowning: Can you record a step by steps video with voice for me to follow?

Thank you,
Matej

Here is a video showing it. It is doing it on a page too.

Ahhh, I get it now  I reproduced it locally, and even tested with 1.12.4, and there is the same issue.

I’ve created an internal bug report, and I’ve linked this topic to it. Thanks!

Best regards,
Matej

We retested this on the current Bricks version and can no longer reproduce the issue, including with saved list content. Switching between Visual and Code mode no longer marks the page as changed when no edits were made.

This appears to have been resolved by subsequent editor changes. If you can still reproduce it, please reply with your Bricks version and the exact Rich Text content that triggers it so we can test the same markup.
