SOLVED: "Template Edit" permission necessary to insert template?

I have a user with “Editor” role and a special permissions set for users with “Editor role”. I want the user to only be able to insert pre-made templates, not edit said templates directly.

Now, when I just give the user “Insert template” permissions, inserting a template in the editor results in an endless loading loop. Once I also grant “Edit template”, it works. Take a look at the video.

Maybe I am understanding something wrong here.
