SOLVED: Social Element Adding Line Break When Link Added

Heya!

I just bought Bricks and just trying it out for some personal projects at the moment, but I got stuck… =D

The my social element looks all good in the editor but not on the actual page. When adding “external URL”, it makes the icon stack above the text instead of next to it. See the URL where I got “Facebook” set with an external URL and the rest not. This behavior goes away as soon as I remove the external URL setting and leave it blank.

Anyone got an idea why it’s doing this? Tried changing all the padding/margin to make them bigger, but no avail.

I’ve duplicated the element. They’re exactly the same, except the bottom one does not have “External URL” checked.

Hey @Totte

Welcome to the forum bud!

I just had a quick look and could not see what was causing it. And it’s strange how the issue is happening just by adding a link and nothing else.

I will move this over to the bugs section as I think this is not a how to. I did have this exact problem with the Bricksable addon but as it was 3rd party I did not post it here.

What version of Bricks are you using and what browser?

Ye, I was unsure if I should put it here or in the bugs section

I’m running Chrome on Windows 11, should be latest, can’t see any updates available :stuck_out_tongue:
Bricks 1.3.6

Haha no problem, I am sure Stefan, one of the devs or someone more proficient than me will be along soon to investigate and can help

Hi guys,

I quickly tested this in the 1.3.7 beta and it seems like the issue has been fixed. Since we still have one or the other problem in the beta I would recommend to wait for the stable 1.3.7. If the problem still occurs, please come back to this thread.

Best regards,
timmse
