SOLVED: Slider, Testimonials: Autoplay speed in ms doesn't change

Bricks Version: 1.5
Browser: Chrome 90
OS: Windows
URL: brickstest.pambiusdemo.nl

The autoplay speed in ms for slider, reviews etc doesn’t change when set to a higher value. Now I’ve set it to 6000 ms. Even when I set to a much larger value it doesn’t change at all.

Hi Pamela,
Thanks so much for your report!

I think it’s because the label is wrong: “Autoplay speed in ms” is actually the “Autoplay delay in ms”, meaning the pause between changing the slide.

The speed is currently set to 1000ms, and the delay to 6000ms.
I have added the wrong label to our bug tracker.

Best regards,
timmse

That is indeed the case. Thanks for clearifying!

Hi Pamela,
We’ve fixed this bug in Bricks 1.5.1, which is soon available as a one-click update in your WordPress Dashboard.

I still have issues with this setting (Autoplay delay in ms) in a normal slider. The speed does not change at all when I change this value (using latest Bricks version 1.5.2).

Hey Bart,
“Autoplay delay” is the delay (pause) between auto-sliding to the next slide.
The speed needs to be set in “Animation Speed” and determines how fast the animation is.

timmse

Hi @timmse ,

But that’s exactly what I meant and what does not work. Hope it will be fixed soon.
Regards,

Bart

It works perfectly fine for me. Can you show me the problem in a screencast?

Hi @timmse ,

Sure, I even made a clean install with only Bricks in it but the result is the same:

As you see the change of autoplay delay does not have any effect on the slider.

Thanks for the video! Weird… now I can reproduce it and added it to the bug tracker. Will be fixed soon

Since this thread was about a wrong label and, therefore, wrong expectations, I’ll leave it as solved.

Happy to read I am not the only one  And looking forward to the fix!

@timmse I just tried it in the latest Bricks version but it’s still not ok. Any idea when it will be fixed? I think this is an important setting for a slider.

Probably in the next version :v:
