SOLVED: Showcase Looped Items inside Nav Menu Builder

Right now when you add a loop inside a drop down menu in the Nav (Nestable) element it doesn’t render the whole set of items properly. It ends up causing users to constantly shift between previewing and the builder to adjust things. Significantly slowing down workflow.

Having the ability to actually render the loop fully would be a great move. Perhaps make it optional if it affects performance too much.

Hi @kshitij,

I’m unable to replicate this one, could you please share a screenshot or a screen recording (https://jam.dev)?

Sure,

Here’s the recording - Bricks Builder - Looped Items | Canvid

Happy to share more details if needed

Hi @kshitij,

Oh I see! I’m actually unable to replicate this issue on my end.

Could it be that you set a value in the new “Max results” setting under Bricks Settings > Builder > Query loop?

This was introduced in version 1.11-beta, and by default, no value is set there.

Hey @charaf I’m on Bricks 1.10.3 so nope didn’t use that.

In that case, we’ll have to get login access details in order to investigate why that’s happening on your setup. Feel free to reach out at help@bricksbuilder.io with access details and please include a link to this forum thread in that email.

Hi @kshitij,

Thank you for sharing this with us! I was able to replicate the issue locally using a taxonomy query relation in a nested query loop and have added it to our internal bug tracker.

Hi everyone,

I’m marking this thread as SOLVED.

I just tested this again in Bricks 2.3.6 and am no longer able to reproduce the issue. It appears the problem was resolved in one of the previous updates.

If anyone is still able to reproduce it in the latest version, please feel free to open a new thread and provide a reproducible setup.

Regards,
Jenn
