SOLVED: Shape Dividers Flip Horizontal flips vertical

It seems the flip horizontal does vertical and vice versa

Hey @itchycode, even on your screenshot to me the shape divider is flipped vertically (although you ticked horizontally). But people might interpret the terms differently.

Looking at this example from the GIMP documentation the terms need to be switched in Bricks.

The image is “reflected along the central vertical axis” but that means “flipped horizontally” (and the other way around). :slight_smile:

Maybe we need to rephrase the name of the setting.

here you go. It’s just a terminology thing. If you flip something vertically, it should flip vertically (so top becomes bottom). On horizontal, it should flip so the left becomes the right…

We’ve changed the labels in Bricks 1.7.3, now available as a one-click update in your WordPress Dashboard. Now it should be a bit clearer :smiley:

Even Adobe is doing it differently comparing Photoshop and Illustrator :crazy_face:
