SOLVED: Saving Templates When Element Contains and Emoji

Browser: Arc/Chrome/FireFox
OS: macOS
VIDEO: Link to a page that illustrates this issue

Templates do not save when an element has an emoji in it. The save function appears to work but when reloading the editor or previewing the template the template or any changes are not visible.

One of my elements had an emoji and the template didn’t save until I removed it.

Hi Alex,
Thanks so much for your report!

Can you please have a look at WordPress » Tools » Site Health » Info » Database and check the Database charset and collation? What’s set there?

Best regards,
timmse

here you go:
utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci

utf8mb4

Ok, then it should work. There are other collations where it doesn’t work.
