Same issue. I thought it was only occuring for me probably due to some configuration error.

Hello,
Are you aware of the issue where the dynamic %root% selector randomly disappears when the builder lags while opening the CSS tab?
It happens quite often and it’s a real issue since the only solution is manually rewriting the classes.
Hi @blureogroup,
Have you already tested Bricks 1.9.9 beta, which contains quite a few builder performance improvements? Normally there shouldn’t be any delays when opening the CSS panel - at least I can’t reproduce the problem.
If the problem persists, please create a new report and provide detailed steps on how to replicate the issue (preferably using jam.dev), as this one refers to a version from the Stone Age
Hey!
Sorry to pull this up but this problem is back with 1.11 using the global class manager.
Renamed a class and the entire custom CSS referenced the old class instead of “%root%” as it should.
Thanks!
Hi @h.udo ,
Unfortunately, you’re right. I’ve added it to the bug tracker.
Yeah, sorry about that.
You guys are doing a fantastic job!

Good afternoon folks. Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday and sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
Yep, you guessed it. This is not solved. Sync global classes is disabled (tired of the Object Object shenanigans) in case it maters but it still happens. Just duplicated a class 3 times, using the native Classes/Variable manager and all 3 new classes reference the old class in the CSS custom panel.
Have a great one!
Hi @h.udo,
Thanks for letting us know, but renaming and duplicating are two different things
Please create a new report about the duplicating issue, which I can link to the task I just created. Thank you!
You’re correct.
Done: Duplicating class references the old class in the custom CSS, not %root%
