SOLVED: Problem when duplicating non-Bricks Posts & Pages

Browser: Arc Version 1.55.0 (52417), Chromium Engine Version 127.0.6533.100
OS: macOS

When duplicating non-Bricks pages with the new-ish Bricks Duplicate feature I’ve two Problems:

  1. CSS classes with double dash in name are screwed up (gridu002du002dauto-2 instead of grid--auto-2)
  2. HTML Entities like   and are defective when uses in custom block fields (u0026shy; and u0026nbsp;).

Hi @MichelyWeb,

what do you mean by “non-Bricks page”, because if you do not edit the page with Bricks, there should not be any “Duplicate (Bricks)” text/command.

I tried to add some Gutenberg content and assigned a custom class, with two dashes. Then I also tried to add some Bricks content, so that I would have this button visible. When I duplicated the page (with Bricks function), and I checked the duplicated one, I still saw the correct class.

Can you replicate this on any of default blocks?

Best regards,
M

Hey @MichelyWeb,
I noticed now that you are using the 1.9.9 version (at least you tagged it), can you please update to the last one - 1.10.1, and check again, as this should be fixed since 1.10 version?

Please let me know if you do.

Best regards,
M

Thanks for the replies, @Matej .

I mean the “Duplicate (WordPress)” functionality in contratry to “Duplicare (Bricks)”:

Can you replicate this on any of default blocks?

Double dashes are okay when using default blocks, group for example.

can you please update to the last one - 1.10.1, and check again, as this should be fixed since 1.10 version?

Same behavior with 1.10.1.

Hmm, thank you @MichelyWeb.

I would like to replicate this so that we can fix this. Is the block that is causing problems available as some plugin online, so that I can install it and replicate this locally? If yes, which one?

If not, do you see a way how can replicate it?

Best regards,
M

I’ve extracted the section block for you so you can test: kDrive

Hey @MichelyWeb,

thank you for this! I was able to reproduce the error with this section block and will add it to our internal bug tracker.

Thanks!

Best regards,
M

Hi @MichelyWeb,

I’m testing this again and I saw that I overlooked   and problem. In the section that you sent, I don’t see these Block properties, where I can put this in.
Would you mind sending this block also?

Thank you!

CSS will not work properly as it has dependencies. But here`s a package with the Section, an Intro Container and a Hero-Section with fields: kDrive

Thank you,
I was able to replicate both issues now and I’ve added it to the internal bug tracker.

Thanks!

Best regards,
M

Is this problem solved?

As for now, It’s still in WIP (Work In Progress).

Hi @MichelyWeb

I’m marking this thread as SOLVED.

I just tested this again in Bricks 2.3.6 and am no longer able to reproduce the issue. It appears the problem was resolved in one of the previous updates.

If anyone is still able to reproduce it in the latest version, please feel free to open a new thread and provide a reproducible setup.

Regards,
Jenn
