SOLVED: Popup Templates: Drag Element to Canvas doesn't update the Structure Panel

Just updated to Bricks 1.6. When selecting “Popup” as the template type the editor doesn’t work.

Drag and drop to the editor appears to work, but the Structure panel does not update. Saving appears to work, but a reload shows no content saved.

Workaround - drag some content around inside the editor. Move something above or below something else. Did it twice and now it seem to work for me atleast.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Would you be so kind as to provide a screencast showing and explaining what’s going on? Also, please disable every plugin (especially caching and optimization plugins) and test it again.

I did a fresh WP / Bricks installation with no other plugins. The video shows the results.

In the Bricks FB community, others are reporting the same issue.

Basically, when you drag a widget to the editor, it doesn’t show up in the structure panel, no settings in the left panel. With some elements e.g. Button if you edit the button text in eth Editor, it then shows up in the structure panel.

This only happens if you select Popup as the template type. Th editor works perfectly for pages and other template types.

The same thing happens for me but if you drag any element out of its section and then back in it should show up in the structure panel as a quick workaround for now. It looks like the panel does not refresh when adding elements to a section as it should.

Thanks so much for the video!

Now I can reproduce the issue and added it to the bug tracker. As a simple workaround, instead of dragging the elements to the container, add them by clicking. Doing so, the structure panel updates as expected.
