I have a problem with pages that have videos, google asked to Provide a high-quality video thumbnail i attached the link below
To be eligible to appear in Google video features, a video must have a valid thumbnail image. Otherwise, the page may be indexed but would only appear as a text result.
You can allow Google to generate a thumbnail, or provide one in one of the supported ways:
If you’re using the <video> HTML tag, specify the poster attribute.
In a video sitemap, specify the <video:thumbnail_loc> tag.
In structured data, specify the thumbnailUrl property.
In theory, you can add the poster attribute by yourself through style » attributes (name: poster, value: src-to-img). The problem with this approach is, that the attribute gets added to the wrapper and not to the video element.
I’ll consult with the team on how we can improve this.
@Mehdimoradi Can you provide more details on what has not been fixed? As it’s not clear to me from the screenshot you shared about the “Heading” element. This post of yours was about the missing video “poster”. For which we added a setting in 1.8.5.
