SOLVED: Option to drag-and-drop sort variants of components

Hi there,

i’d like to ask for this improvement.

Let’s say i have a component with some existing variants:

  • Yellow
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Red

…and I now add new variants:

  • Yellow large
  • Green large
  • Blue large
  • Red large
    …

The new variants get added at the end of list:

  • Green
  • Blue
  • Red
  • Gray
  • Green large
  • Blue large
  • Red large
  • Gray large
    …

Since it becomes quite uncomfortable to read, i’d like to order them by e.g. color types.

My feature request would be an option to order them like so:

  • Green
  • Green small
  • Green large
  • Blue
  • Blue small
  • Blue large
    …

In the same way like it is possible to sort properties (drag-and-drop ordering).

Maybe this would be an impromement? :slight_smile:

+1, its a pain when we add another variant down the line and there is no way to order them

We’ve addressed this in Bricks 2.4-beta3 (beta release), now available for manual download from your Bricks account.

Please read the changelog entry before testing, and let us know if you experience any issues. Note: beta builds are not recommended for production sites.
