SOLVED: Offcanvas as component is uneditable

Browser: Firefox 147, Edge 144, Ecosia 144
OS: Windows 11

Video: Short screen recording that illustrates this issue (free tool: jam.dev)

I created a contact form in an off-canvas. To display it on every page, I placed it in the header template. Because I have two different header templates, I turned this off-canvas into a component. Since it is a component, it does not open when editing the component, even though ‘keep open while styling’ is enabled.

It does open in the header template.

Hi lucstarmans,
Thanks so much for your report!

I can replicate the problem and have added it to the internal bug tracker. We will update this thread as soon as it is fixed.

As a workaround, you could place the offcanvas in the footer (unless you’re using two footers :D) instead of the header without turning it into a component.

Best regards,
timmse

We fixed this issue in Bricks 2.2 RC2, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production website. It is intended for testing in a local or staging environment only.
