Hi

I have CPT called universities which has been displayed in the Homepage as a Nestable Slider. I am using the Ajax Live Filter (Radio button) to filter the slides (universities) bases on a certain taxonomy.

The problem is that the Live Filter is hiding the whole slider when it is clicked.

But the problem is when I try to use it missing up the whole style, slide number per page, spacing and etc.

So I need help :slight_smile:

Hi @2puser ,

You are right, we didn’t expect Query Filter used on a nestable slider.

Hence, there is no code handling on Splide instances when a filter is applied. (New DOM fetched via AJAX and replaced the Splide slides)

I have recorded this in the bug tracker.

Unfortunately, there is no temp solution for this issue.

Thanks Jen but as just mentioned in private I’m very surprised more developers have highlighted this as a glaring error in the otherwise excellent features of the query loop builder in Bricks.

I would love to hear back from anyone who has a workround for this (essentialy the ability to filter the slider query using a filter, JetSmartFilters in my case) or any other that delivers the same combo (of query loop + taxonomy based filtering).

We fixed this issue in Bricks 2.2 RC, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production website. It is intended for testing in a local or staging environment only.

Thanks timmse. Jenn just pointed this out to me (yesterday) as being fixed - which I don’t believe was commented on in the changelog when released. That, or I simply missed it! I have only partially tested this (with the updated Nestable Slider element and native Bricks Filters and it seems to work fine). Many thanks.
