When you click on any element on the builder canvas, it will open up the options for the element on the left side as well as highlight it in the Structure panel on the right side.
For some reason, the Nestable Accordions and Nestable Sliders will not activate the options or structure panel when selected on the Canvas, including their nested items. I have to then search for that element in the structure panel and select it in order to open up the Settings panel on the left for that element.
This isn’t particularly a problem for me as someone with full access to the builder, but someone with Edit Only capabilities cannot use the structure panel to work around that.
I noticed this limitation as I was training a staff member to make edits to the site. We have several nestable accordions setup and we were unable to get those nested elements to activate the settings panel. We couldn’t use the structure panel method because that is limited for Editors.
I don’t want to have to give them full access in order to make these edits if at all possible.
I am partly able to reproduce the issue. The nestable accordion works well double-clicking into the title or content directly on the canvas, same with the slider and its default element, but it probably depends on the elements you’re using inside the slider. Can you provide me with the template of the slider/accordion, so I can understand the issue exactly?
I’ll submit that template shortly. How do I share that with you?
I guess the issue is it only edits inline, rather than bring up the Edit panel on the left and highlighting the element in the structure panel on the right.
I can’t even get the Accordion element itself to show up in the edit panel unless I select it in the Structure panel.
They are simple elements inside the accordion (text, image, button).
I noticed that if I right-click on the element, it will work though.
