The original problem in 1.8 was that I tried to make a vertical menu with the nav menu element. I set the alignment as vertical and the sub menu position: static. I noticed that I couldn’t always click the menu items that were after the sub menu items. Updated to 1.8.1 hoping that it would fix the problem but now the sub menus won’t open at all (With alignment both vertical and horizontal).
Hi @simplemedia , welcome to the forum! We will fix the problem as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can manually downgrade to 1.8.
Hi @mikestott , some more information, and a live link would be very helpful! If it is not about the “static” setting, it is a different problem and may need a separate thread.
Hello, yes in 1.8.2 the submenus do open but unfortunately the original problem persists. When the menu is vertical and the submenus are set to static the items underneath become unclickable especially after a submenu is opened.
I tried it on two demos and it’s the same behavior. It’s almost like the item with the submenu is on top of them. If you open a submenu move your cursor down to the items after the item with the submenu and you try to click them nothing happens.
If you click twice it highlights the link of the item with the submenu (on chromium based browsers, it doesn’t get highlighted in firefox but it still can’t be clicked).
If you open a submenu take your cursor off the menu element and back on the menu items that you could not click before now you will be able to click them, move your cursor back to the opened submenu and move it back down to the items underneath and they can’t be clicked again.
Sorry if I’m not explaining it well, you can see the described behavior on the website I had previously provided a link for and I can make a video showing the problem if you can’t reproduce it.
Hi and sorry for the delayed response, I noticed the release of 1.8.3 updated and the problem, whatever it was, has been resolved. Thank you for the quick responses and the assistance!
