SOLVED: JetEngine relation meta doesn't work with Brick Builder Dynamic Data

Hi!

I’m having some troubles with displaying JetEngine relation meta with BricksBuilder Dynamic Data. I have a JetEngine CPT A and a CPT B with relation between them. That relation has a meta. And that’s that meta I can’t display with Brick Builder Dynamic Data. I can display all others CPT datas without any trouble.

Information that can help : If I use JetEngine Dynamic Field widget, that relation meta won’t be displayed too until I set specific context (see in picture).

Have a nice day,
Clem

Ps: I contacted JetEngine support who sent me back to you.

Hi @ClemJam,

I’ve tried to replicate the issue, but it seems that it’s working on me in a way:

  • I’ve created two JE Posts Types
  • I’ve created many-to-many relationships between them, with one meta-field
  • I’ve created a Single Post template and set it to the first JE Post type
  • I’ve added a custom query loop and selected a relationship
  • In the query loop, I outputted the relationship meta.
  • It works, I can see the meta field (type text).

Would be possible to record step by step video (possibly with sound), so I can replicate it the same way as you have it?

Thanks!

Best regards,
M

Hi and thanks for your answer !

You’re right, if I do as you did, it works well for me too.

The difference, in my case, is that I need to display that information not inside a single post template of one of the post type but inside an other page. That’s why, I think, the context is necessary.

You may see what I mean on the picture.

Best regards,
Clem

Hi,
thank you. I can see it now and I’ve replicated it locally. I’ll add it to the internal bug tracker. You said that the JetEngine dynamic field widget works, so meanwhile please use that one instead.

Best regards,
M

Hi,

Glad to hear you can replicate that bug ! :ok_hand:

Unfortunately, I can’t use JetEngine dynamic field inside Bricks Conditions (to hide an element according to his relation meta value) so I’ll wait for your fix.

Thanks again and have a good day !
Clem
