SOLVED: Issues in feature "Import pasted images/SVGs" with custom URL image

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS

Hey guys, this seems to be a feature introduced in version 1.12.2, but it’s also present in version 1.12.3 with the “Import pasted images/SVGs” option.

When I copy a section that contains an image from the “Custom URL” field and paste it into my page, it replaces it with a placeholder.

This still happens even when I have that feature enabled. (see image)

It also appears to happen with SVG images, replacing them with an image containing the text “SVG.”

I understand that this is expected behavior if the feature is disabled, but it seems to still occur even when it’s enabled.

I got the same problem when importing from remote templates.
Updated direcly from 1.12.1 to 1.12.3 and got this bug =)))

Hi guys,
Thanks so much for your report!

I reproduced the issue and added it to our bug tracker.
The same happens with a dynamic data source, which shouldn’t be the case either.

Best regards,
timmse

same issue happens for jpg or other url formats as well.

Hi guys,

We fixed this issue in Bricks 2.0 alpha, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.
