SOLVED: IMG SRC SET Issue

Bricks Version: 1.1.3
Browser: Chrome 90
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.
URL: (a link to a page that illustrates the issue would be really helpful)

Hi

The first image is pulling the thumbnail and the srcset seems to be calling in underneath the first lot. The other post loop images seem fine however, and the size to use was set to large, not the thumbnail or small ones.

Any ideas what’s going on here?

Thanks

Hello @robp

Thank you for your post.

There is something weird with the image render according to your screencast. Is it possible for you to share a link to the page where you get that behavior?

Thank you
Luis

Hey @luistinygod sure.

You’re right - and the first image being pixelated too but the rest seem correct, is also super odd right?

I did an import media across from another site, when exporting posts, I wonder if that’s brought some odd SRCSET into the media library perhaps?

@thomas

Also seem to get it with the image on here - not related to any imports and I tried a new post and it does it there too

Hello @robp

Thank you for sharing the URLs.

Do you have any plugin or custom code that might be manipulating images ALT tag?
Or did you add any dynamic data to the Custom Alt text input in the Image element:

Hello!

I selected the featured image again, that’s a good point! What should be selected in the alt text sorry? I presumed it would then grab the alt text from the featured image you see.

Many thanks

Hello @robp

The {featured_image} tag is an image, not suitable to place inside the ALT tag. If you want to add an alt tag for the images, the best place to do it is inside the WP > Media > Image > Alternative text:

I see, apologies @luistinygod - I know I can add it there but the fact it asks made me think I had to specify it there too, my fault.

It threw me slightly as if you add a dynamic contact tag in anything other than an image, it ends up returning the image alt text so I figured it was situational as to where it went.

Hello @robp,

Thank you for your reply and no need to apologize.

We all learn while stretching the tool to its limits.

Case closed.

Thank you.

I have a similar problem. I filled in all the fields for the image in the Media Library, but Bricks Builder does not take it from there (the article itself was edited with Gutenberg).

It would be important to resolve this transfer, because in this way, when editing the article in the Bricks Builder, the image text data (Alt text) would have to be entered again. This is now redundancy from the point of view of editing. Is there a solution to this problem?

Here is an arcticle where the images have text data (Media Library), but these not appear in the sourcecode and the SEOPress I use cannot detect if the images have text data.

Hi Varanka,
As far as I can see, the images do have an alt tag: https://novolibro.eu/wordpress/
