Live search doesn’t really work that way – instead, it loads the search results on the current page. It is a better UI experience to keep the user on the page then redirect them somewhere else.
So if the above is something you are looking at, then yes it can be done.
Thanks for the answer @shingen,
Yes, I agree. But my problem starts exactly where I want to redirect the user to another place (search results). Please advise how this is possible with Search Criteria? How do I create a button to view all results?
You still can’t do that. The Live Search Element works with the query loop, therefore it shows the query content based off of the search field input.
How then can you have a redirect to another page that no longer has that initial query? What is that redirected page query? Nothing. So currently what you are asking for cannot be done with the Live Search.

Thank you so much for actively helping Bricks users in the forum.
What Jolia wants to achieve should be able to do in current Bricks ![]()

I learned something here, thank you – but just duplicating the search settings/elements one can achieve the outcome. Very cool.
Thanks for the great video @itchycode, I learned something new here ![]()
Hey @itchycode and @jolia – I know Jenn gave a great solution to this (thank you again), but I was thinking about it again this morning and was struggling a bit with the redundant use of the search filter.
I am not saying Jenn’s solution is not a good one, as it is, but it can also become an issue from a UI perspective having multiple search fields on the same page.
So I did a little video of solutions that I had before and thought I might as well throw them here and maybe they help, maybe they inspire, or maybe they get ignored. Either way, always nice to have fresh eyes.

Thanks for your time @shingen, Those were some interesting ideas.
You’re welcome – there sure is many ways up the mountain. =]
Hi @shingen,
Thanks for sharing the video and demonstrating the different ways Bricks can be used.
You’re absolutely right. Live Search can be placed directly on a page and work entirely within that page, without needing to be placed in the header (with results) or redirecting visitors to a dedicated search results page.
I think we’re all aligned on the same goal here: showcasing the flexibility of Bricks and the different approaches available, so users can choose the workflow that best fits their website requirements ![]()
