SOLVED: History / Revisions produces orphaned elements

Browser: Chrome 138.0.7204.158
OS: Windows

Hi team,

Please watch the video below. I copy the section containing the query loop, go back using History / Revisions and paste the structure, it doesn’t paste and produces orphaned elements.

Hi @HOSEIN,

hmmm, when I paste to the revision, the elements gets pasted normally. Does this happen with every revision? What if you try on some other page, is it the same?

Please let me know,
Matej

Hi Matej,

Yes, I can replicate this bug on all pages at all times. Do you click the “Apply” button in the History / Revisions section when you go back?

Let’s go step by step from the beginning.

  1. Make sure the page you are working on has a history(Revisions).
  2. Add a section and add several elements to it.
  3. Copy the section by right-clicking on it in the Structure panel.
  4. Go back using the history (Revisions). For example, 2 days ago. Click the Apply button.
  5. Now try to paste the element into the structure panel. At this point the element will not be added. But in reality it is being added as an orphan.

I hope it was helpful

Yes, that’s exactly what I did . I’ll ask the colleagues to test this as well and get back to you.

Thank you,
Matej

Hey @HOSEIN,

can you test again and see if this is still an issue in Bricks 2.4 beta 2? We cannot replicate it anymore.

Thank you,
Matej

Hi Matej,

Yes, the problem seems to be solved, thank you

Thank you @HOSEIN,

I’ve marked the topic as solved and internal task as well

Thank you,
Matej
