Does anyone have problems with the Map element? Just can’t change the default address. Any suggestion is much appreciated. I have registered API-KEY.
Hi,
use the Lat and Long Values of the address (right click on the map marker at maps.Google.com) instead of the address itself. This will work.
Regards,
Timmse
Tried that, no luck.
Why don’t you just display the embed map instead?
Because I’m used to doing it “the right” way . And because the map element is for displaying maps…
Noted. I tried the map element before and forgot why I switched to Embed(maybe not working properly). So, I switched to Embed Map.
Alright,
just checked the map element and there seems to be a massive bug. The fields are reset to the default location after saving and the console spits Reference Errors… that’s possibly why the marker doesn’t change.
I will do a video of that behavior later and report this as a bug, if you like.
Please do. I’ve wasted a full day on this… Thanks.
Hello @tole011
Thank you for your report. We’ve already fixed the issue with the Map element and it will be part of release 1.3.3.
Thanks, Luis. Catch some sleep… we need you fresh…
Best Regards,
Goran
Came here for this, thanks for catching and fixing, when is 1.3.3 coming out?
Glad to hear. I had this issue as well and thought it was just me, forgot to report it in here so I’m glad to have stumbled onto this thread and to learn that it’s already fixed in the next release.
Side note: That’s a fairly high impacting bug IMO (basically the Maps widget is completely non-functional in 1.3.2 when it comes to adding an address), so as a bit of a software geek myself I hope Bricks Builder will add in an automation QA test for that one to help avoid that type of a bug (realizing it may be a bit difficult to automate that one of course - I just feel like this is one of those things that should have been caught before release where every widget is tested with at least the basic setup of the functionality which would have caught this one).
