SOLVED: Google Fonts - Broke after theme update

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows
URL: Link to a page that illustrates this issue

Today I had a client reach out that randomly their font “Inter” (Google Font) stopped working on their website. Initially I thought it was just cache or potentially something to do with compression, but after trying to clear everything, the issue persisted.

I tried to turn off and on the google fonts settings within Bricks, and tried to go back into a section and re-select “Inter” as the google font (within Bricks Editor), but the issue persisted.

I ended up embedding Inter into the header of the site to fix the issue for now for my client. But wanted to report the bug.

There weren’t any 404 errors with the script or anything else, it seems like the font just wasn’t being included in our site.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the forum!

The stylesheet url is corrupted for unknown reasons. I can’t replicate the issue.
Would it be possible for you to clone the page into a staging environment and send us access data?

Best regards,
timmse

Ah good catch! Happy to do that, what is the best way to send you the credentials without making them public?

Thanks,

Please send temporary login credentials and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase.

Hi @eachevery ,

Thanks for the admin credentials.

We can replicate the issue when you have font-weight: xxx !important in Bricks > Settings > Custom CSS

Recorded in our bug tracker.

Jenn

On my end then, is there anything that we need to do differently? Or just leave my temporary solution in place now until its resolved in a future update?

Thanks!

Yes @eachevery ,

The temp fix has been applied to your live site. The fix will be included in the future update.

Regards,
Jenn
