It only works if you keep Google Fonts enabled in the settings (Bricks > Settings > Performance). I don’t think this was the expected behavior, since the font was downloaded.

Hi Sinan,
Thanks so much for your report!
I reproduced the issue (and found some others regarding the font manager while replicating) and added it to our bug tracker.
Best regards,
timmse

Guess that’s already on the bugtracker, that it is also not applied to templates e.g. populating a bricks template with content from Gutenberg and setting the font through the template leads to backup font being displayed.

Hi guys,
We fixed this issue in Bricks 2.0 RC, which is now available in your account.
Changelog: Bricks 2.0-rc Changelog – Bricks
Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.
As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.
This is probably related to the issue I just posted.
I’m not sure if I’m using this setting right.
I have Google Fonts disabled. I have Barlow loaded locally using the Bricks custom fonts system. I have Preload custom fonts setting checked. My CSS loading method is external files if that matters.
I also have LSCache, which does not have settings for preloading fonts, but it does have a setting for disabling Google Fonts, I have Google Fonts settings OFF since Bricks handlings disabling it. There is also font swap method which is set to “Default”…
Does preloading not work if we use local custom font?
