SOLVED: Filter: Empty/Not Empty not working for Filter - Select element

Browser: Safari
OS: macOS

I can’t seem to get the Filter: Empty and Filter: Not Empty to work using Bricks 2.0 Alpha. As far as I can tell, everything is set up correctly, see screenshot.

It’s a WooCommerce Filter that targets a Product Loop > Taxonomy. Any insight or help is much appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks so much for your report!

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Please follow the instructions here and try to place the interaction on the surrounding wrapper, not on the select element itself. Let me know if it works

Best regards,
timmse

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I tried putting it on a wrapper instead, but alas, the result is the same.
I created a screen recording to show you: Bricks v2.0a – Filter: Empty Not working | Loom

Hopefully that shows it in some more detail.

Thanks.

Hmmm… Please send temporary login credentials and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase.

Hi @nmrelations ,

Thanks for the video. After rewatching that, we can identify that the bug is related to Filter-Select.

The default placeholder “accidentally” counts as an option, so you never get the “Filter Empty” action trigger.

We are working on it. Recorded in the bug tracker.

Regards,
Jenn

Hi,

We fixed this issue in Bricks 2.0 beta, which is now available in your account.
Changelog: Bricks 2.0-beta Changelog – Bricks

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.

Works nicely! Thanks… gonna test it out further.
