SOLVED: Filter - Category duplicate in multilingual website

Browser: Chrome
OS: Windows
URL: Link to a page that illustrates this issue
Video: Jam

I have a webpage (see above) where I am using the new bricks filter to show post based on their categories. Theses categories have been also translated using Polylang.

Since I translated them, they are now showing in both language in the filter leading to a lot of duplicate. This duplication only occurs after using the filter once.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Beta or Stable version that? This issue was present in 1.9.8 beta but was said to be fixed in 1.9.8. Sorry for nitpicking

No problem at all. It is on 1.9.8 stable.

After testing the stable unfortunately all Polylang issues of the beta are still present in the stable version. Do you have this issue? All secondary lang archives disappeared / can’t be reached anymore SOLVED: Polylang - All archives are broken of the primary language - language switch not working - #5 by Mike8040

//Edit: The issue I described is fixed. I had the include/exclude condition still in place on the live page where it leads to this issue again. One needs to take care of not having exclude and include conditions for the query at the same time. Though I did exclude different categories then I included. Maybe this is something to check on your end too?

I don’t know for all the other issues you mentionned with Polylang. It sounds like different issues than this one and each of them need to have a dedicated thread.

Let’s focus our attention on this simple bug for now and hear from the Bricks team about it

Why the mention WAIT have been add to this thread. Were you able to reproduce?

Have a great weekend

Hi Tom,

I have set the thread to WAIT because I wanted to wait for the result of your discussion first. Would you please send us access data and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io so that we can take a look at it?

Great, access sent !

Hi Tom,

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.9.9 beta, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.
