If the accordion is placed inside another accordion, the expand item indexes would not work. Please check video.

Thank you for the video. I can see the issue, and I was able to replicate it locally. I created the internal task for this.
The only way the nested accordion is open, is if the parent (top-level) accordion item is also expanded. I don’t think this will help you here.
