SOLVED: Error "Not Found" with Bricks Child Theme

Hello,

When i activate the Child Theme i have this error on all pages (not home) :

Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server.

Php 7 or 8 and Apache or Nginx same error.
With Bricks Theme i have no problem.

Can you help me ?
Thank you very much

Hi ang,
welcome to the forum!

Which version (Bricks) are you using? Did you changed something inside of the child template? Does the error arise even with a newly downloaded child theme?

Please try to save Permalinks after switching to the Child Theme.

Best regards,
timmse

HI timmse,
Thanks for your answer.

I’m using the last 1.3.7.
This is the first time i installed Bricks and for the first try, i used child theme. Then because of this error, i tried Bricks directly.

All posts/pages shows the error. Bricks templates show a blank page.
The child is the owloaded child theme unchanged.
I tried to save permalink and the problem is still here.

It is surely related to child theme because Bricks theme used directly works.

Thanks again

The child theme works perfectly fine for me, right out of the box interestingly. Wonder if there’s some odd plugin that could modify that behaviour somehow? Not sure. Hopefully Bricks team can sort that out, but mentioning it here as I don’t think the issue will be in the child theme itself, otherwise I’d assume many people would have that issue, so it may be more of a general incompatibility somehow. :man_shrugging:

Perhaps this may help:

Seems the most likely culprit here is your htaccess file.

Thank you so much d19dotca :+1: .
It was related to the missing htaccess.
