When you insert a template into the page, there is an Edit Template icon that is displayed when you hover over the element, however, clicking it does not work. Instead, it just opens the element settings.
Middle clicking (to open in a new window) works correctly by opening the Bricks editor for the template, it just seems like the click action to edit an element is overruling.
