SOLVED: Dynamic Background Featured Image Issue

Browser: Arc 1.1
OS: macOS
URL: https://www.srusigns.ca/template-testing/

I’m creating a mega menu in the header to show products. In the mega menu, I created a nestable tab loop for the categories. In each pane, I have a secondary loop showing the products for the specified category. Everything works correctly and pulls the right dynamic data, except for the image when it is set as a background for the product card. I believe it is a bug specifically with the dynamic background as the other dynamic elements show the correct information. Anyone else encounter this?

Hi Mundy,

Thank you for your report. Can you please share temporary admin access with a link to this thread at help@bricksbuilder.io so I can take a look at your setup? Alternatively sharing screenshots or a video recording to help me replicate this would be great

Best regards,
Charaf

Hi @charaf , I’ve sent the credentials, thanks for taking a look.

Hi @Mundy,

Thank you for providing access.

I’m not sure what the issue is exactly as it looks like the featured image is being pulled correctly to me? is there something that I’m missing? a screen recording to illustrate the issue would be much appreciated

Best regards,
Charaf

Hi @charaf, I added an image inside of the product card to better illustrate the contrast to the background.

Here’s the screen capture. Jam

As you can see, as I move from the Attention category to Caution and Danger, the Title and inside image change, but the product card’s background image itself does not change. I hope that makes it a little more clear.

Hi @Mundy,

Thank you so much for the recording  I see what you mean now. This indeed seems like a bug (potentially due to the nested loops) and I’ve added this to our internal bug tracker.

Best regards,
Charaf

Confirming same issue with a query loop and custom made mega menu cards. Applying BG image {featured_img} does not render if the current page is not the CPT.

@charaf any update on this one?

No updates yet, still a WIP :eyes:

Still nothing, put some attention here too, please, because this bug is not insignificant at all…

Issue still persist sadly

Hi guys,

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.10 beta, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.

Best regards,
M
