SOLVED: Difficulty opening interactions in some cases

Browser: Chrome 138.0.7204.50
OS: Windows

Hi,

Since some interactions have long names, they are difficult to open, and clicking on certain points can open the interaction details. For example, please see the gif below.

interaction opening

It seems that the current problem is due to the ability to edit interaction names. As a suggestion, it would be good if the ability to edit interaction names was integrated into the interaction details, so that there would be no problems opening interactions.

Hi Hosein,
Thanks so much for your report!

I reproduced the issue and added it as an improvement to our todo list. You can increase the panel width to find the “sweet spot” that allows you to close the interaction.

Best regards,
timmse

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 2.0.1, now available as a one-click update in your WordPress Dashboard.

Please take your time to read the changelog entry before updating: Bricks 2.0.1 Changelog – Bricks, and let us know if you continue to experience issues.

Hi @timmse,

This problem still exists, even for interactions with shorter names. Overall, there is very limited clickable area to open each interaction, as shown in the image below.

Definitely not fixed. Issue persists in 2.0.1

It is solved, since you can click above and below the interaction name, which wasn’t possible before:

CleanShot 2025-07-30 at 10.41.47

Maybe it’s only fixed on Mac? Nothing has changed in Firefox and Chrome browsers on Windows.

Ah dammit, you’re right. It’s already working on our test server - something got mixed up… I’ll ask the devs what exactly

I’m on mac, definitely still an issue

Hi guys,
The difference to before seems to be the following: you can now also click to the right of the label to open the interaction. This does not seem to have been possible before. Slightly better, but not optimal. The status in our dev version is much better because you have much more space/areas available.

Since there is already a new report for this, and this report is solved (even if not quite optimally), we use the “new” report for the improvement mentioned.
