SOLVED: Different queries are displayed while there is no query loop

Browser: Chrome 134.0.6998.36
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.

Hi bricks team,

I don’t know why, but on my test website pages, when I add an element like pagination, it detects different queries, even though there are no query loops on the page. I think it happened after updating to 1.12.3. But I updated another website to 1.12.3 and there was no problem.

Hi Hosein,
Thanks so much for your report!

Unfortunately, I don’t know how to replicate the issue.

  • Where exactly are you in your screenshot
  • what kind of templates do you use
  • what conditions do the templates have
  • do the loops still appear if you deactivate the templates that contain the loops?

Please try to find the difference between your other installations, as this will probably be the decisive clue. Otherwise: needle in a haystack

Best regards,
timmse

Hi timmse,

I’ve looked into this further and it seems the component is contributing to this bug. I hope you have success in reproducing. Please watch the video below.

Whenever I unlink the component, it adds a search item to the target query, even if there are no loops on the page.

I even optimized the filter database, but it didn’t work.

Hi Hosein,
Thanks so much for the video! I replicated the issue and added it to the bug tracker.

Hi timmse,

I can’t replicate this in version 2.0 anymore. So I think the problem is solved. Right?

Thank you

Hi Hosein,
Yep, seems like the problem has been solved by now.

Let me know if it occurs again

Hi @timmse,

Just to update, this bug is no longer occurring as you are aware. However, the ghost queries are still present on the previous pages.

For example, on the page I took a video of during this report, 6 queries are now identified that are not on the page.

Best regards

Strange… please check with Bricks 2.0 beta, which will be released soon, if there are orphaned elements on the page and see if this solves the problem.
