SOLVED: CUSTOM POST TYPES: Pods compatibility in 1.3.4-beta

Is there a way to create single and archive templates for CPT’s created with Pods (or any other similar tool)?

Just create your template. You should be able to use fields from PODS ( Not used pods but ACF and Metabox work ok ).

Then just assign the template condition to use your CPT.

Really couldn’t be simpler.

Yes, if only I can see CPT in template conditions… :). I only see posts and pages.

Select Post types and then choose your CPT from the list. Works for me.

Well, this is not my first rodeo…

CPT is not on the list…

No because it is just a Post type.

In the second Post Type field choose your specific CPT by its name.

Just found what is the problem. I was on 1.3.4-beta. In 1.3.3 works. Have to post bug report. Thanks for your time. Best regards.

Don’t think so. Works perfectly on 1.3.4-beta

Not for me with Pods. In 1.3.3 works fine.

Just change status of post to “bug”. If I create template for CPT in 1.3.3 it works in 1.3.4-beta, but if I try to make another one, CPT is not showing in post type list in Template settings.

@tole011 Thank you so much for reporting this bug. Which I can confirm. Someone reported this bug via email before. Already fixed it locally. We’ll provide a fix in the final 1.3.4 release (which is why I’ve marked it as solved already).

Thanks Thomas. That was probably me…
