Hi Yan,
then we can mark the problem as solved Just kidding⦠It would be great if you could say something more about it because sometimes it closes, sometimes not.
The question is when should it close and when not? In general, I find it advantageous that it stays open, for example, when inserting an element (when you click on the icon), because you can insert multiple DIVs, for example, instead of having to right-click every time.
What is your opinion on this?
Best regards,
timmse
So it seems that dropdown stays OPEN after click on Insert/Wrap/convert ICONS, but CLOSES when clicking the Insert/Wrap LABELS.
Iām really not sure I will insert/wrap/convert multiple times in a row
Should close each time for me.
NOTE: When clicking on Convert label, menu closes but no action taken.
(See WIP: Structure panel dropdown Convert button doesn't work like Wrap and Insert - #2 by timmse)
Iām pretty sure you want the menu to stay open if you want to add more than one div inside a container or section
When wrapping and converting it actually makes less sense from my point of view, since the original element is still selected. I will discuss this with the team

I think if I actually need to add several divs, I would do it with the ā+ā button and left panel.
I use structure panel for adjustments or duplicate/move, copy styles, or when absolute or z-index stuff prevents me from selecting element in canvas.
But when I build, itās always via left panel.
Maybe you could close dropdown after a delay, like 1s or 2s, if no more click?
Thereās another issue with this
When clicking on an icon, since menu doesnāt close, you donāt see what was done, because dropdown is above the inserted/wrapped/converted element.
It is very misleading because as the menu stays open and you donāt see anything changed in structure panel, you can think nothing happened, and click again, and maybe againā¦
This is all very unnatural to me.
Or maybe add a green message popup to say āDiv insertedā so that we know that something actually happened? (Like copy/paste messages.)
Hey Yan,
Do you still encounter issues with the context menu?
As far as I can see, in Bricks 1.5, it works as it should
Best regards,
timmse
