SOLVED: Comments element: Guests can’t see their unapproved comment

Hi,

Still, guest users cannot see their unapproved comments. Do you approve of this?

Hi @HOSEIN,

you are right. I can reproduce this if the guest comment (that is still unapproved) is the only comment on the post.
As soon as I add another (approved) comment, I can also see the unapproved one.

If you are seeing the same behavior, I’ll add it to the internal bug tracker. If you don’t see a comment, even if there are other comments, then please record a video showing a bug.

Thank you,
M

Hi @Matej,

Yes, I confirm this, you are right.

Let me add one more thing…

Isn’t it better to remove the “reply” button for unapproved comments? I understand this is the WordPress default, but it could be a useful modification.

Thank you for confirming. I’ve added it to the internal bug tracker.

And for the “reply” button, I will talk with the rest of the team, so we an decide what we can do.

Thanks for both ,
M

Hi @Matej,

Can you please also add this possibility so that we can style the admin comment separately? A great addition.

Hi guys,

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.11 BETA, now available as a manual download (Bricks – Account)

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

You can see the full changelog here: Bricks 1.11 Changelog – Bricks

As with any beta release, please do not use it on a production/live website. It is only meant for testing in a local or staging environment.

Best regards,
Matej
