SOLVED: Click a block with link wrapped with rich text element Reloads Canvas to the Linked Page

This is related to this post in a way: SOLVED: Dynamic Data Doesn't Work in Query Editor (Subquery)? - #18 by itchycode

When I’m in the builder, clicking on the subquery product color elements reloads the canvas as if I’m on the front end clicking on the product.

Here is the subquery. You can see it is an <a> element.

The canvas reloaded to a product after I clicked on the linked element (from the subquery). At this point everything on the website behaves as if I’m on the front end.

Use my testing site to review, as before.

Hi @JS40CD ,

We found the way to replicate the issue.

As long as a div/block/container/section set link, wrap a rich text element. Clicking it will cause the canvas iframe to load the target linked page.

Recorded in the bug tracker, and we are working on it.

Regards,
Jenn

We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 2.0 RC2, now available as a manual download in your account (see changelog).

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

As with any pre-stable release, please do not use it on a production website. It is intended for testing in a local or staging environment only.
