SOLVED: Changes made on classes not reflecting in the builder

I have the same issue with changes to a class not showing in the builder or front end.

Tried the theme patch but the problem persists. Then rolled back to 1.7.3 and the issue is still there. Have tried disabling all plugins.

Can e-mail through login to support.

Your issue sounds different in this case. The issue we had in this thread was only affecting the editor itself, it never affected the frontend. And going back to 1.8 resolved the problem or using the classes patch release.

You may be better off starting a new post about yours, they’ll likely want access too for that.

my addition to this:

in 3 or maybe 4 different websites i have the same 1.8.1-classes.
sometimes it completely fixed the issue, sometimes not.
sometimes i can see changes for the first 2 or 3 times i edit something, then again i can’t see them.

seems random but i feel it’s not so random. i’ll start tracking every move.

Hi @Thomas, I was wondering when 1.8.2 may be released. Trying to decide whether I should stick to the 1.8.1-classes fix (even though it seems to bring other bugs as-is) or if I should just downgrade back to 1.8 for the time being until 1.8.2 is out? If 1.8.2 is coming out very soon then I’d likely just wait for that instead. Don’t mean to push…

Side note: I know everyone has a different opinion on this, whenever there are fairly large defects such as this one (after all the inability to view changes made to classes in the editor of a class-first builder is a pretty big bug in my opinion), it is my hope that it won’t need to wait for larger releases. It always amazes me at the number of additions/improvements & fixes you pack into every release, it’s nothing short of astounding! I just hope you don’t feel obligated in thinking each release has so to have so many changelog entries in it before releasing. :wink: Users will be more than happy with smaller releases that fix the bugs quickly. :slight_smile:
