I have a very simple template set with title, excerpt and wordpress content element on the page in a section just to handle text only pages such as “privacy policy” etc… The conditions for this template are set as follows:
Post type = page (no exclusions yet but I’ll be adding cart / my account etc)
I have created an “About us” page and when I edit this page with Bricks all I can see is the template I have set up instead of a blank canvas. Adding elements to the page does not show them.

Seeing the template content while editing the page to which this template is applied is the expected behavior (Show outer post content).
It’s a known issue that you can’t see elements added to the page, if the canvas is initially empty. We’re already working on it. Just save and reload the builder after adding any element.
I’ll update this thread once it’s fixed.
