SOLVED: Builder is slow when multiple panels are pinned, Especially with external tools

Hello team,

I was testing the new builder interface and noticed that it becomes very slow when panels are pinned. To confirm, I unpinned them and it was fast again, then pinned them back and it slowed down once more.

It’s not too slow, but just need to mention it.

With a single panel pinned, such as the CSS panel, or with a simple panel, performance is fine. But loading several long panels with a lot of settings makes the interface slow.

I’m not entirely sure, but I believe this was fine on Bricks 2.4 Beta 2.

Hey @Isaac_fomo,

thank you for letting us know. I was able to replicate a slight delay with pinned controls, so this is something to investigate, however, I could also replicate it with beta2, so doesn’t it look like it’s affecting only to the latest beta.

We will let you know once we fix this issue.

Thanks Matej, I didn’t well tested it in 2.4beta 2 because of the full width layout and the small issues in bi-directional CSS sync.

We’ve addressed this in Bricks 2.4-rc (release candidate), now available for manual download from your Bricks account.

Please read the changelog entry before testing, and let us know if you experience any issues. Release candidates are not recommended for production sites.
