SOLVED: Bug in theme style > popup

Browser: Chrome 114
OS: Windows

Hi

In theme style > popup, I made changes in Scroll (body) and BACKDROP Transition options. But when I created a new popup, they didn’t follow the changes made in Theme style > popup.

Reproduction steps:

1- In theme style > popup, enable Scroll (body) option. Also put the Transition option in the BACKDROP section, all 0s.
2- Create a new popup.

You will see that the new popup does not follow the theme style settings.

Also, as another case, if you set the padding value to 0 or any other value in the Theme style > popup CONTENT section, then create a new popup, in the new popup, the padding option will still show the value of 30px as the default. Gives. While we had placed it in theme style 0.

Hey @jolia,

thanks for your report.

Non-CSS settings (like the scrolling or closing settings) should not be there. This is a bug and we will remove those settings. You have to specify those settings on a per popup basis.

The CSS settings (like the backdrop transition) works as expected for me. Can you maybe record a small screencast, demonstrate your setup and show what is not working for you?

And finally I will check what we can do about the input placeholders not reflecting the theme style values. As this is more complicated than it might seem at first glimpse this is more of an improvement for a future version.

Best,

André

Hi @aslotta, thanks for the reply.

I think having non-css settings (like the scrolling or closing settings) is very useful. Because it allows us to customize the pop-up settings in advance. Therefore, those who do not need them will naturally not use them in the theme style.

But in relation to other popup settings in theme style that work well for you, have you tested it in version 1.8? Because I have this problem in 1.8 and I haven’t checked it in 1.8.1.

Hey @jolia,

you are welcome to create an idea for this.

And no. I always test with the latest production version. Even if this was a bug in an older version we’d have to provide a fix and you’d have to upgrade to the latest version. So please update to 1.8.1 and see if this fixes your issue.

Best,

André

thank you @aslotta,

I am a new user of bricks and currently using try.bricksbuilder.io. I hope it gets updated to the new version soon so I can check it out.
