SOLVED: Bricks not updating fields

Bricks Version: 1.3.1
Browser: Chrome Version 91.0.4472.124 (Official Build)
OS: Windows 10
URL: // (Backend problem, not frontend, but I will give you credentials if needed)

Hello,
I don’t know if this is a conflict between Bricks and some plugin, but I just found out that my Settings in the mobile and tablet breakpoints are not applied. For example, I was trying to change the size of the website title in the header when in Tablet portrait, but when I adjust the size, the title is not changing in size. I also experience some problems with the color of the post title using the “posts” elements in Bricks. In fact when I go and change the color to white, it shows in the editor (with the other problem, the settings are not applied even in the editor), but in the frontend it shows a different color. I think this one is a conflict with CSS (not sure though). Thank you for your help and btw you guys did a great job with Bricks, really impressed

Hello @giovannicastellotti

Welcome to the Bricks forum!

Regarding the breakpoints not being responsive in the builder, we got reports from a couple of other users with the same type of issues. Turns out that on some Windows computers there’s a scaling issue inside the builder which prevents you to see the changes for tablet and mobile landscape breakpoints.

We’ve fixed this on the coming Bricks release (1.3.2).

Meanwhile, as a temporary workaround, I suggest the following:

  • Adjust the width of the preview using the input on the top of the canvas. for example, for the tablet breakpoint, you’ll see by default 991px. Adjust it to 990 or less, until you see the style changes.

  • Or, Check your Windows display scaling setting on Windows > Settings > System > Display > Scale and Layout. We recommend you set it to 100% even if the system is recommending another value. (How to Use Windows 10 Display Scaling)

Sorry for the inconvenience of this situation.

I do think you probably have a conflict of CSS. After applying the workaround mentioned above, let me know if you can sort this one out.

Thank you

@luistinygod That is brilliant news; what a super quick bug squash regards the 1.3.2 update! You are on fire!

@giovannicastellotti, I have the same issue regard to the breakpoints, and the suggestion works for me.

I also found that can help is if you move the scale and layout to 100%, all your screen will look super small. I would advise you to reduce your display resolution, too; an example, I went from 2600x1600 to 1920x1080

Alright. No problem. Glad to know it’ll be fixed. Yes, I actually have my screen scale set at 125%. I’ll try that out. Thank you so much
