I have created a template and have added bold fonts to my website.
The bold is fine in the backend and on the frontend bold tag is not working.
What can be an issue?
I have attached two screenshots.

Hi Achal,
a link would be helpful

Hi Achal,
You’re using ‘Gotham-Book’ for your body text, which has a font weight of 400. To make things bolder, you’ll also need to include ‘Gotham-Bold’, which has probably a font weight of 700 or 800, so your text gets bold. You have another font with a bolder font-weight installed, but that is not applied to your body text
As you can see in this video, when I remove your custom font, the text gets instantly bold: https://vimeo.com/653373182/974a1bd747

Hi,
Under theme style I selected the font for the body, there is no option to select two fonts.
Pls see
You don’t need to select two fonts, but you need to have two different weights for the same font installed. Currently, you have only a single font-weight of 400. To use bold, you need another bolder one (700).
One font family, two weights (400,700):
Sorry for the German screenshot, but I think / hope you’ll understand it nevertheless.
Hm… they don’t show up in your CSS
Please send login credentials to help@bricksbuilder.io and I’ll take a look.
Sent …Thanks. Pls check email.
Hi,
switching the font-weight from 700 to 800 did the job

For your information: I enabled WP Rocket first and cleared the cache to be able to exclude caching problems and disabled it again.
I will check it, my other site have the same setup and the fonts are bold without EXTRA BOLD.
What can be the reason? I am using the same plugins and the same server, everything is the same on both sites.
Maybe you’re not using a custom font on the other site? A link to the other article / site would be helpful as well
I am using same fonts and everything is same:
Unfortunately, I can’t say for sure. Maybe you serve a cached version? The temporary login credentials for this page don’t work anymore.
Please enable WP Rocket again, disable caching everywhere, clear the cache and disable WP Rocket again. Then clear your browser cache. I’m curious if the post is then still displayed so.
Neither the bold nor the italic version of the Gotham font are visible in the CSS… which is strange.
This is the live site. I am not using Wp Rocket etc.
I have just sent login information.
Hi Achal,
Well, you have around 27 plugins installed, some of them not active - but I don’t know if you ever used them or not. And since caching in general often leads to problems, I asked about WP Rocket.
The behavior on https://www.magicofwriting.com/freelance-ecommerce-copywriter/ is bizarre, as some changes are partly not visible at all, others immediately…
What I noticed in between is a Cloudflare error message. So you use Cloudflare? Can it be that you have configured something different than at https://www.educationly.xyz?
At the moment (at this very moment), it works so far for the post.
But the fact is that the bold tag works fine on the pages I currently run, and we have no other messages about it. I think several users would have noticed that if there were problems.
I’m sorry I can’t help you right now. But, as I said: I think it has something to do with caching or the Cloudflare configuration in general.
Greetings,
timmse
Actually, CloudFlare settings are the same. So that is why asked when everything same and still, i have to use different settings for fonts just to make it bold.
I think it is solved. I have re-uploaded fonts.
Hi Achal,
I really have no idea what was or is going on, as there are quite a few variables in your installation that could affect this. I’m glad it is working now, so I’ll mark this as solved
Best regards,
timmse
