SOLVED: Before and after pseudoelements not show in front-end

Bricks Version: 1.5
Browser: Chrome 104.0.5112.102
OS: Windows
URL: (a link to a page that illustrates the issue would be really helpful)

Apparently for no reason in a website I am working on the pseudo elements that I insert as background an image from media are not shown in the page. Although I do see them in builder.
In fact I realized that other pseudoelements are vanished too. all were shown correctly but i tried to add “Marker” and as it wasn´t working i removed, maybe that caused to remove all the others. But now I don´t know how to make them to show in front-end

Hey Raul,

That might be related to this. Hoping it was going to be resolved for 1.5 but looked like it slipped off the radar

Thank you Michael,

In my case I got it to work correctly for a while. But now I only can see the image on the builder not on fron-end.

Thank you again!

Just if it helps … I changed some ID names of some elements, not sure if it was whtat generated the issue, but I cannot make the pseudo elements to be shown on front-end, in the builder i still see them normally

I removed the marker pseudo and added a new before element, that caused to make all the other pseudo to show again for a while. Now I created a new pseudo and again removed all of them in the whole site, but the new one that still remains…

Hi Raul,
Thank you very much for your report.

As Michael said, I also assume that this is the same problem. Would you be so kind as to make a quick screen recording showing and explaining (please with sound  ) the issue?

@Michael Sorry, I lost track of the topic.

Best regards,

I cannot say more accurately which is the core of the issue. I can tell you that :

  • In the builder pseudoelements are shown correctly
  • If I wrte a text it is showed on frontend, but not backgroud images
  • The issue started when I added a “marker” pseudoelement, later I removed.

Right now I cannot see those pseudo on front-end even I can see on builder correctly.

If you want I can give you access to the site, it is not on production yet.

That’s why I asked you to record a screen recording showing and explaining what you are doing so that I can understand and reproduce the problem. Maybe there’s a problem, maybe you’re not doing something right… I don’t know.

It’s definitely easier and faster to follow when I see what you’re doing. So please: make a screen recording, and explain your steps… then we will find the cause of the problem pretty quickly.

Have a nice Sunday,
timmse

As I have been explaining I am not doing anything. I created a “before” pseudo-element and put a background image on it. It worked and I continued to develop, until I have found that the pseudos of the entire site are not seen in the front-end and yes in the buider. I can’t reproduce it as I don’t know why it happened. That’s why I can’t make a video. I can give access to the site or I can say if it’s text it goes fine if it’s background image it doesn’t.

We’re not making any progress like this… :smirk:
Everything you’ve described works fine for me. Accordingly, a small but crucial detail must be missing.

Before I ask again for a screen recording: Please send temporary login credentials, a link to this thread, and some details about where the issue appears (a link to the page, which element, etc.) to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase.

Best regards,
timmse

Ok, I’ll send you tomorrow morning from the office all that, even a screen log, but about the latter I don’t see any use for it.

And sorry if I can’t be more specific, in my opinion (but I don’t know how to reproduce it because I don’t know when it happens) it seems that creating new pseudo elements or deleting them etc affects over all the others. I hope it helps and you continue to create a great builder. Sorry for this

Hi Raul,
We’ve fixed this bug in Bricks 1.5.1, now available as a manual download in your Bricks account.

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

Yes, it works now. Thank you very much, I hope I have not disturbed your workflow.

Now I see quite a few problems with this version and I go back to the previous one…
My web styles are now messed up, I can’t edit the footer and I have problems with some menu alignments and I can’t get them to look like before. In addition to problems in the positionings as the “absolute”. And some backgrounds.

I hope that the final version to be published will be ok, sorry for the inconvenience…
