Bricks Version: 1.4 RC2
Browser: Chrome Latest
OS: Windows 11

When using the basic text element and pressing enter to create a new paragraph it adds <br> inside the basic text editor.

Please see image:

Thanks

Hi Michael,
this is not a bug and has been like this since the introduction of the Basic Text Element.

Quote from the Changelog for the Basic Text Element:

The new “Basic Text” element is perfect for adding simple one-liner text strings instead of multi-paragraphs.

Use the “Rich Text” element to create more complex texts, that can consist of headings, paragraphs, lists, images, etc.

You can use HTML tags in the Basic Text element (like p, strong, em), but you have to enter them yourself. If that is too cumbersome, there is still the Rich Text Element

Best regards,
timmse

Thanks Stefan :+1:, Yeah I was familiar with that but did not know if it was intentional to add the br HTML on clicking enter.

At least its been discussed here in case anyone else experiences it
