SOLVED: Bad code causes broken galleries in WP-ImmoMakler

Hey guys, I’m using the plugin, WP-ImmoMakler to create real estate property listings on https://conrad.immo, like the one linked above. They have a shortcode for single (and archive) page layouts, which include a gallery. The images in this gallery are blurry and pixellated and the thumbnails at the bottom are black.

I spoke to their support and they told me:

“Something in the customer’s WordPress system seems to be interfering with generation of the img tags. For the large photos, the mini version is specified first in srcset, which is then displayed and scaled up. The thumbnails, on the other hand, are replaced with transparent SVGs, so the black background shows through. Screenshot of the source code attached.”

Any way to address this behaviour? According to the dev, this isn’t coming from them, but from somewhere in WP. I disabled all plugins and the issue still occurs, so I’m wondering if it’s something in Bricks that is causing this?

Try to disable lazy load in Bricks settings.

Bingo! That did it! Thanks.
