SOLVED: All changes missing + Text copied to some other element on click

Browser: Arc
OS: macOS
URL: –

Changes I definitely had saved are just gone. All changes I have made yesterday (mostly text), are missing, only images I changed appear to be the latest version. Half a day of work is gone (ᵟຶ︵ ᵟຶ)

Another odd behaviour I’ve experienced was, that text I have worked on, was copied over to another text element I clicked on after.

And it happened again: I changed a section of my new website to a dark color scheme, and when I opened the page today – the color changes were gone.

Hi Jan,
Thanks so much for your report!

  1. To track down the problem, we need reproducible steps.
Are you using any caching or optimization plugins? If so, please disable them and see if the problem persists. The more concrete information we can get from you to reproduce the problem, the better.

  2. This is already on our radar. Do you primarily use a mouse or a trackpad? I can reproduce the problem predominantly only with the trackpad (MacBook Air).

Best regards,
timmse

Hi Jan,
We’ve fixed this issue in Bricks 1.9.1/1.9.1.1, now available as a one-click update in your WordPress Dashboard.

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues.

Best regards,
timmse

I can’t say that in v1.9.1 all changes are saved. I even tried Bricks 1.9.2 Beta as it says there’s a fix, that rebuilds CSS, but there’s no change.

Failure example

  1. Create footer template
  2. Edit template and apply a solid border with color on a class of the section element
  3. Hit save and wait for saved banner

Look at frontend/Reload builder and be astonished, that no border is there.

Workaround

  1. Duplicate the section
  2. Change the border on the class
  3. Delete one of the duplicates
  4. Save and be happy, that it finally saved it.

Hi Maexxx,
the mentioned fix refers to the Page CSS (Page Settings » Custom Code), not to the Builder CSS itself and therefore has no relevance.

Unfortunately I can’t reproduce your problem and as far as I know, we don’t have any further reports about it.
