SOLVED: AI remote template import changes layout

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: Windows
Video: Jam

I asked AI to import a remote template, and although it imports the template successfully, the layout is sometimes changed during the import.

I tested this multiple times. When I manually import a remote template, it is imported exactly as it was saved. However, when AI imports remote templates, the templates contain the correct elements and classes, but their layout and element structure are sometimes rearranged.

This makes me think AI may not be using the same import function or process as the regular remote template import. It could potentially be related to the way multiple templates are processed, timing, or another issue with the import process.

Could you investigate why the AI import works different and make sure it displays the exact same import?

In short: AI should treat a remote template as an exact template to import, not as something to rebuild or interpret.

Loving the new AI features btw, you guys are doing great!

Hey @puikproject,

thanks for the report. However, I can’t replicate the issue. Can you export the template and send it over and write the prompt that you used for importing it? Then I can maybe replicate it.

Thank you,
Matej

Hi @matej,

Could you share your email with me so that i can share the exported template as a .zip file? Also because the template is out of the brixies library and i don’t wanna share his work over a public forum.

Thanks!

Hello @puikproject,

please share it via help@bricksbuilder.io and inside a email, please also mention this forum topic, so we know what it is about & use the email you used for Bricks license purchase.

Thank you,
Matej

Hey @puikproject,

Thank you. I was able to replicate the issue and I’ve added it to our internal bug tracker.

Thanks,
